Halloween at the Beach

If you're visiting Myrtle Beach for Halloween or if you live here year-round, you'll find a myriad of Halloween events and activities taking place. In addition to trick or treating, you'll discover haunted houses, parties, costume contests, fireworks, festivals, live music, carnival games and much more.

Terror Under the Bridge - October 24 thru November 1
Terror Under the Bridge is chilling, scary, haunted attraction. If you're only going to visit haunted attraction this year, Terror Under the Bridge is the one you must see! The attraction will be open at the X Sports Gym from 7 pm until 11 pm nightly from October 24th through November 1st. X Sports Gym is located at 568 George Bishop Pkwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Tickets are $10 per person.

Haunted Halloween - October 24-25
For a fun-filled, Halloween celebration for the entire family, head down to Huntington Beach State Park for Haunted Halloween. The event features 2 separate haunted house attractions, a bonfire, carnival games, storytelling, kids' crafts, spooky cartoons, s'mores and more. Festivities take place at Atalaya castle on the Friday and Saturday night before Halloween from 6 pm until 9:30 pm. Adult admission is $10, kids tickets (age 6-15) is $7 and kids 5 and under are admitted free.

Flash Back Boo Bash - October 24
On Friday from 5 pm until 7pm, dress up in your favorite Halloween contest from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's and head over to the Flash Back Boo Bash at the Children's Museum Of South Carolina. The bash will feature exciting games, activities and candy. Kids and adults in costumes receive a discounted admission of $3 per person.

Fireworks In Myrtle Beach - October 25 & 31
Visit the Broadway at the Beach entertainment complex to enjoy a fireworks extravaganza. The shows feature some of the best fireworks along the Grand Strand with amazing professional pyrotechnics displays over Lake Broadway. Shows are scheduled for 10 pm every on the 25th and 31st.

Howl - O - Scream - October 25
On the Saturday before Halloween, the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex transforms into a spooktacular site filled with family-friendly fun. Howl - O - Scream activities include hayrides, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, marshmallow roasting and more. Got small kids that my be scared? No problem. Scare free and Scare Zones are available. The event is free for all! The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is located at 150 Citizens Circle, Little River, SC 29566.

Kids and Pets Halloween Fun Day - October 25
Dress your kids and/or pets up in their favorite costumes and bring them down to Barefoot Landing for Halloween Fun Day from noon until 3 pm. Stop by the carousel to register your kids and pets for the costume contests. The kids costume contest starts at 1 pm and will be followed by the pets contest. The event features a petting zoo, face painting, free carousel rides, karaoke for the kids and tons of prizes. Barefoot Landing is located at 4898 Hwy 17 S in North Myrtle Beach.

Halloween Party at the Captain's Quarters - October 25
The 6th Level Entertainment Center at the Captain's Quarters will host a fun-filled Halloween party on Saturday from 3 pm until 7 pm. Put on your costume and join Salty, the friendly shark, for a costume contest and more. At the party, you'll also enjoy candy for the kids, karaoke, and special rates on bowling, food and drinks. The event is open to the public. Captain's Quarters is located at 901 S Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach.

Nightmare in the Square - October 25
South Carolina's largest costume contest and Halloween party returns to Broadway at the Beach for another year. Enjoy live music in the square with DJ Barry beginning at 8 pm. Dress in your favorite Halloween costume for a chance to win cash prizes! 1st Place wins $2,000, 2nd Place wins $1,000 and 3rd Place wins $500. Wear your costume and you'll also receive free admission to Broadway at the Beach clubs: Broadway Louie's, Club Boca, Crocodile Rocks, Froggy Bottomz, Malibu's Surf Bar, Revolutions and Rodeo Bar. Broadway at the Beach is located at 1325 Celebrity Circle.

Trick Or Treating at Broadway at the Beach - October 31
Take the kids over to Broadway at the Beach on Halloween for trick or treating in a fun and safe environment. Participating merchants will be giving out special treats to those in costume. Event hours are from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm.

Halloween on the MarshWalk - October 31
Put on your favorite Halloween costumes and take the kids to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk for a fun-filled evening. The kids can enjoy trick or treating, a costume parade and contest from 5 pm until 6 pm. At 6 pm everyone will gather together behind Drunken Jack's Restaurant (at the Pirate Statue) for final judging and awards ceremony. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for the Scariest, Most Creative and Funniest costumes. We have forgotten the older family members. You will not want to miss the adult fun from 7 pm until 10:30 pm. Enjoy live music from N'Tranze and the Austin Mowery Band plus compete for more than $3,500 in cash & prizes in the adult costume contest. To be eligible for the final judging (at the Dead Dog Saloon) and prizes, contestants must stop by every one of the 7 restaurants along the MarshWalk and collect a paper bracelet.
