Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival

The Grand Strand's largest and most popular festival is without a doubt the Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival. The Sun Fun Festival takes place June 4-8, 2009. Visitors engage in beachfront activities such as sand castle building contests, beach games, and watermelon eating contests. 2009 scheduled events include:

June 5 - Live Entertainment and Food Vendors
Too Much Sylvia will be performing a free concert in Grand Park at 7 pm. Food vendors start at 5 pm.

June 5-7 - H2X Racing’s 2009 Tour
Sponsored by Sea-Doo, Res-Q Energy Drink and WizzardX Media. On the ocean, between Damon’s Grill and Springmaid Beach Resort. Fri: 1-5 pm, Sat/Sun: 10 am - 6 pm. (Free for spectators)

June 6 - 2010 Miss Sun Fun and Miss Sun Fun Teen Pageant
Myrtle Beach High School, 7 pm. Admission $15.

June 6 - Celebrity Meet-and-Greets (Free)
Blake Lewis of American Idol (season 6 runner-up) will perform live in Grand Park. Celebrity meet-and-greets: Blake Lewis (2-5 pm), Jason Earles of Hannah Montana (11:30 am - 2:30 pm) and Robert Newman of Guiding Light (10:30 am - 1:30 pm).

June 6 – Lifehouse Concert (Free)
Bring a chair or blanket (no coolers). 7 pm in Grand Park.

June 6 - H2X Racing Demonstrations (Free)
On Grand Lake. 10 am

June 6 - Kids Zone Games (Free)
Inflatable rides, games and more. Grand Park, 10 am.

June 6 - Sun Fun Beach Run
5K run/walk at 8:30 am and a 1-mile fun run at 9:00 am. Click here to register.

June 6 - 14th Annual Corvette Car Show
Broadway at the Beach Parking lot next to the Hard Rock Cafe. 10 am - 2 pm.

June 6 - Sun Fun Festival Fireworks Extravaganza (Free)
After the Lifehouse concert. 9 pm.
