Looking for a place to take your dog in Myrtle Beach? You could take them for a walk, but that can become dull and routine. You could take them to the beach, but that involves them getting covered in sand and needing to be washed. Lucky for you and your dog, the brand new Myrtle Beach Barc Parc is now open.
Open sunrise to sunset, the new three acre Barc Parc allows dogs to interact in their own environment without having to be confined to a leash. The park is conveniently split up into two fenced in areas: a small dog area and a large dog area. There is an actual small dog measurement at the small entrance to ensure dog size ‘compatibility’.
Features include dog fountains, lots of shade, trash receptacles and doggie doo-doo bag dispensers. This is the perfect place to bring your dog and let them run loose! Rules include the following:
• Dog owners must be eighteen years of age and enter the park at their own risk; they are fully responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog• Children are allowed, but must be supervised by a responsible adult• Dogs must be up to date on their rabies vaccinations and must wear current tags• In order to maintain the quality of the park, all waste must be disposed of in the designated on-site containers• Aggressive dogs and female dogs in heat are not allowed in the park• The following are not permitted at any time: food, treats, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, strollers, bicycles, toys or smoking
The Barc Parc is located at North 62nd Avenue next to the Claire Chapin YMCA, and is closed about two days per quarter for maintenance. For additional information, call (843) 918-2390.
