Surfside Beach Founders Day Weekend

A special 50th Anniversary Event, the Surfside Beach Founders Day Weekend kicks off on Friday with live, beach music. Sea Cruz will be performing on Surfside Drive from 4 pm until 8 pm. on Surfside Drive. Food and drinks will be available.

The celebration continues on Saturday from 11 am until 3 pm in the Surfside Beach Pier parking lot with carnival games, a carousel, magician, juggler and stilt walker plus carnival food including cotton candy, popcorn, candy apples, corn dogs and hot dogs. Saturday's festivities close with an amazing fireworks show at 9 pm. While you're there, don't forget to grab your 50th Anniversary hats and shirts.

Sunday's festivities include a special Blessing of the Beach at 7 am with local clergy and gospel singing at the Surfside Pier. From 1 pm until 3 pm, the fun continues in Passive Park with music and a family picnic. You can bring your own lunch or food & drinks will be available for purchase. Bring a chair!
