The Veterans Golf Classic tournament attracts veterans and active military personnel from around the country to the Grand Strand each year to play in this unique event. This year's tournament takes place June 5-8, 2016
The Veterans Golf Classic is not just about great golf. The event is an opportunity to get together again with friends from previous years.
The Veterans Golf Classic features two player teams competing in four handicapped flights during the 3-day, 54-hole event. The tournament is open to all active military members and veterans and their friends. Each team must include at least one veteran or active military member. Singles are welcome and will be paired prior to the event.
Teams compete in a different format each day: Round 1 - Best Ball, Round 2 - Combined Team Net, Round 3 - Scramble.
The Veterans Golf Classic will be conducted using the USGA Slope Handicap System. Handicap indexes of each player will be used to establish a daily handicap.
Before 5 pm EST on March 24, the entry fee is $260 per golfer for past participants. The cost is $280 for new competitors or for anyone entering after 5 pm EST on March 24. Included with the cost of entry: 3 rounds of tournament golf, green fees, cart fees, range, reception, awards banquet with dinner, Veterans Golf Classic logo shirt & hat and prizes.
