Bike Week in Myrtle Beach
With spring on its way to the Grand Strand, it's time to begin preparing for Myrtle Beach Bike Week! The Harleys and choppers will soon begin pouring into Horry County for this great annual Myrtle Beach tradition.
Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2015 will take place May 8-17. Local businesses are getting excited about this year's rally and so are motorcycle enthusiasts in Horry County and around the country.
When you come to Myrtle Beach for the Spring Bike Rally, there are a few places where you'll want to be sure to stop by.
Myrtle Beach BikeFest at the Myrtle Beach Speedway has set May 12-16 as their spring rally dates. BikeFest is an exciting event featuring poker runs around the track, NASCAR Racing Experience, live music, The Boots and Bikinis Tour with the Spur Girls, mechanical bull riding contest and more. Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels Band and The Outlaws will be performing. There'll also be tons of vendors on hand, so stop by the Speedway and check out the action.
Once again, Throttle Fest is returning to the Grand Strand. The Full Throttle Saloon is partnering with the House of Blues at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach to bring this fun-filled spectacle back for another year. The popular Spring Bike Rally event features exciting live music out on the House of Blues deck. Stop by and enjoy all the Bike Week fun!
If you plan on visiting North Myrtle Beach, check out all the vendors setting up for the Spring Bike Rally at Barefoot Landing. Also, the House of Blues, a great restaurant and music venue, usually features well-known performers during Bike Week and Barefoot Landing's variety of shops and restaurants make it a must-see Myrtle Beach attraction while you're staying on the Grand Strand for Bike Week.
If you're in the mood for a good time, head to Murrells Inlet, just south of Myrtle Beach. Murrells Inlet has long been known as a great location to visit during Bike Week due to the plethora of activities that occur at various restaurants and bars specifically for the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of biker-friendly vendors, attractions, bars and restaurants in Murrells Inlet. One of the most popular biker bars is Suck Bang Blow. Other establishments in Murrells Inlet also host annual Poker Runs during Bike Week.
One of the big draws for Bike Week in Myrtle Beach is Myrtle Beach's central location. Close to areas such as Georgetown, Charleston and even Wilmington, North Carolina, Myrtle Beach's prime location allows for day trips to explore other coastal regions of the south.
The helmet law that kept some bikers away from Myrtle Beach during Bike Week for the last few years has been overturned. Riders who are under twenty-one are still required to wear helmets, but riders over twenty-one may ride as they wish.
