Monday Night Lights on the MarshWalk - September 1
Starting on June 16th, Monday Night Lights on the MarshWalk returns to Murrells Inlet for the summer. The spectacular fireworks display from a barge just east of Veterans Pier begins at 9 pm. The show is promoted by seven popular creekside restaurants: Bovine's, Creek Ratz, Capt. Dave's Dockside, Dead Dog Saloon, Drunken Jack's, Wahoo's Fish House and Wicked Tuna.

National Sculpture Society 81st Annual Awards Exhibition - August 16 thru November 2
For the 14th consecutive year, the National Sculpture Society presents their annual juried exhibition at Brookgreen Gardens. The 81st Annual Awards Exhibition displays figurative works from 48 contemporary sculptors. The exhibition features a wide variety of subject matter and media including busts of Charles Dickens & Amelia Earhart as well as a myriad of animal and human figurines. The exhibit will be on view daily 9:30 am until 5 pm and is free with garden admission. Don't forget to cast your vote fot the People's Choice Award. The winner will be announced at the end of the exhibition.

Tales for Tots - September 2 thru December 16
Enjoy story time and fun-filled activities at the Children's Museum of South Carolina on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am. Designed for kids from 1 to 4 years old. The Children's Museum of South Carolina is located at 2204 N Oak Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Myrtle Beach State Park Events - September 3-28
In September, you'll find several nature events taking place in Myrtle Beach State Park. During Forest to the Sea (Wednesdays 10 am), you can enjoy a leisurely, 1/4 mile stroll through the maritime forest, into the maritime grassland and on to the beach. At 2 pm on Thursdays, stop by the park's outdoor feeding station to spot area birds during Backyard Bird ID. At 2 pm on Fridays, "What Dwells in a Shell?" offers a chance to explore the fascinating world of seashells. At 2 pm on Saturday's, watch a snake eat a mouse and more during Feeding Time. Other September programs include "Sea What's on the Menu!" (watch us feed our saltwater aquariums), Stargazing for Beginners, "Watch Out for Turtles! Story Time" and "What Wildlife Will A-Pier?".

Magician Michael Barefoot - September 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24 & 28
Appearing at the Landmark Resort at 8 pm, Michael Barefoot is an award-winning Illusionist who will astound and amaze with an exciting magic and comedy act. The Landmark Resort Hotel is located at 1501 S Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. For $5 per person, you can purchase tickets in advance at the front desk or at the door (if available). North Myrtle Beach's Music on Main - September 4, 18 & 25
North Myrtle Beach is known as the birthplace of Carolina Beach music and for a few months each summer Main Street comes alive with a wide variety of live, musical performances. Music on Main is a great place to bring the entire family for a fun-filled evening of music, dancing, shopping and dining. Bring a chair, kick back and enjoy performances by exciting bands including Tru Sol, Hip Pocket and Jim Quick & Coastline. The FREE concerts begin at 7 pm and will be held in the "horseshoe" or on a closed off section at 202 Main Street. South Carolina's Largest Garage Sale - September 6
South Carolina's Largest Garage Sale returns to the exhibit hall at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Hours are from 7 am until 2 pm. Admission is free, but parking at the convention center is $3 per car.

H2O Adventure Tours Surf Off - September 6
Surfers and watersports enthusiasts from the around the country will be heading to Surfside Beach for the 2nd Annual H2O Adventure Tours Surf Off on September 6th. A family-friendly event, the Surf Off is open to spectators free of charge. 14th Annual Grand Strand Miracle League Charity Golf Tournament - September 10
The 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Wild Wing Plantation to raise funds for The Grand Strand Miracle League. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration is $500 per team or $125 per person. More than 300 prizes will be awarded. Breakfast will be served at 8 am and the tournament kicks of at 9 am.

Annual 9/11 Memorial Ride - September 11
Join us at the Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson for the 2nd Annual Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson 9/11 Memorial Ride. Breakfast and registration will be held from 11 am until noon. The event features a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at Broadway at the Beach, free food & Balloon Memorial from the Boathouse, prizes, 50/50 raffles and more. The 9/11 Memorial Ride ends at the Dead Dog Saloon for their Annual 9/11 Benefit with live music, free food, raffles, silent auctions and more. Movies at McLean - September 12
Grab your beach chair or blanket and head over to McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach to enjoy a free movie under the stars. Movies are scheduled to begin 15 minutes after sunset. The Mayor's Cup Men's Amateur Golf Championship - September 12-14 & 19-21
Sign up today for The Mayor's Cup Men's Amateur Golf Championship at the Whispering Pines Golf Course in Myrtle Beach. The amateur tournament is open to all golfers 18 and older. The 54-hole mens tournament will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 12-14. The women's tournament will be held September 19-21. Play on Sunday will be flighted according to the score from the first two days. Winners are determined by best individual scores. Home Improvement and Outdoor Living Show - September 12, 13 & 14
The 4th Annual Fall Home Improvement and Outdoor Living Show, coming to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, puts the spotlight on everything to do with the home and garden. The event features more than 200 exhibitors offering a myriad of products and services plus special events including workshops and demonstrations.

Dog Days Blues and Jazz Fest - September 13
Grab a lawn chair, get your friends together and head over to La Belle Amie Vineyard for a fun-filled afternoon of live music with JAZZ, etc. and The Stardusters (from noon until 4:30 pm). Sample the La Belle Amie wines, take a vineyard tour and enjoy delicious food from Smokin' Pitt BBQ and The Vineyard Grill. Mr. Myrtle Beach - September 13
Head down to Revolutions Night Club for the Mr. Myrtle Beach contest. Participants will compete in a fashion contest, talent contest and a question and answer session. Revolutions Night Club is located on Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach. The doors open at 5 pm and the event kicks off at 6 pm. General admission is $5 per person and VIP admission is $20 per person.

1st Annual Bourbon and Beer Bash - September 13
At the 1st Annual Bourbon and Beer Bash, you'll discover a myriad of of whiskeys and bourbons from local and national distillers. The event features live music from RetroGrade, hand rolled cigars, mechanical bull riding and a silent auction. The event will be held at the Rodeo Bar on Celebrity Circle (Broadway at the Beach) from 6 pm until 9 pm.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series - September 19
Visit the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex for an evening of great music with Dickens. Get a look at what it's like to be a zookeeper! Visit Brookgreen Gardens' Lowcountry Zoo to interact with the animals plus help with diet preparation, feeding and animal care. The Zookeeper For a Day program runs from 8:30 am until 2 pm. The cost is $150 per person.

St. John's Greek Festival - September 25-28
St. John's Greek Orthodox Church of Myrtle Beach hosts its 23rd Annual Greek Festival from Thursday through Sunday. Enjoy a variety of Greek cuisine including gyros, spanikopita, roasted lamb, baklava, mousaka, Greek salad, Greek pastries, breads, soft drinks, beer and Greek wines. The event features live Greek music and dancers, children's activities, church tours and informative lectures about our iconography and the Orthodox faith. Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally - September 26 thru October 5
Once again the annual Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally is coming to the Grand Strand. Events for this year's rally include poker runs, a scavenger hunt, live music, free bikini washes, frozen t-shirt contests, vendors and much, much more! Activities will be taking place all along the Grand Strand, so come on down and enjoy the fun!

Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival - September 26-28
The annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be held in the Atalaya Castle at Huntington Beach State Park. Over 100 artisans will be on hand displaying their unique arts and crafts, entertainment and great food. Daily admission is $8 for adults or you can purchase a multi-day pass for just $10. Irish Italian International Festival - September 27
Hosted by the City of North Myrtle Beach, the Irish Italian International Festival is a family-friendly event. The festival features live music on 2 stages on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Performers include The Tim Clark Band, Band on the Rum, EMISH and many more. At the festival you'll also find arts and crafts, food vendors and a spaghetti eating contest plus a children's area with magicians, balloon art and inflatables. The Girl Scout Fall Festival comes to Market Common's Grand Park field #12 from 10 am until 1 pm. Event features include goodies, activities, and bounce houses. Hot dogs, pizza, fresh fruit and drinks will be available for purchase.

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes - September 27
Bring your whole family to TicketReturn.com Field, the home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, and walk around the baseball diamond to help support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Coastal Uncorked Farm to Table - September 28

The Market Common Triathlon - September 28
The entire family will enjoy The Market Common Triathlon! The standard Market Common Triathlon will include a 250 yard pool swim, 6 mile closed course bike ride, 1 1/2 mile closed course run followed immediately by a 150 yard lazy river swim, plus another 6 mile bike ride and 1 1/2 mile run. If the standard distance is too much, you can do the short distance consisting of a 250 yard pool swim, a 6 mile bike ride and a 1 1/2 mile run. After the standard and short distance events, there will be a youth event with a 150 yard lazy river swim, 3 mile closed course bike ride and a 3/4 mile run. Event kicks off at 10 am at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach.

Beethoven's Ninth - The Long Bay Symphony - September 28
The Long Bay Symphony brings the epic masterpiece, Beethoven's Ninth, to the Myrtle Beach High School Music & Arts Center. The Long Bay Symphony will perform with the Carolina Master Chorale and vocal soloists.
