Veterans Benefits Foundation Silent Auction - February 1-8
The Veterans Benefits Foundation will be holding a Silent Auction to benefit the "Battles 2 Bubbles" program at the Veterans Cafe at 3544 Northgate Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. Items up for auction include a 6 inch megalodon tooth, a WWI helmet, an individual or family photo session, 2 nights lodging at PirateLand, 2 nights lodging & breakfast for 2 at the Dayton House Resort, attraction tickets, golf packages, restaurant gift certificates and much more. Head over to Broadway at the Beach on Friday for a Father & Daughter Dance at Ripley's Aquarium from 6 pm until 9 pm. Taste of the MarshWalk
Taste of the MarshWalk - February 8-9
The First Annual Taste of the MarshWalk takes place on Saturday and Sunday along the waterfront in Murrells Inlet, SC. Visitors will enjoy fresh seafood including local oysters, pasta, wood-fired pizzas, ribs, sushi and much more. The event features exciting live entertainment, a car show and children's activities. Sixth Annual Shuckin' On The Strand Oyster Roast - February 8
The gsSCENE's 6th Annual Shuckin' On The Strand is the largest oyster roast on the Grand Strand. This year's roast will be held from noon until 4 pm at the Hot Fish Club. For $25 per person, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters from Harrelson's Seafood, chicken bog with all the fixins, two draft beers and live music with the Paul Grimshaw Trio. The cost is only $10 for kids 8 and under. Purchase will-call tickets online before February 7th or get your tickets at the door. 22nd Annual Myrtle Beach Stamp & Postcard Show - February 8-9
The 22nd Annual Myrtle Beach Stamp & Postcard Show will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center on Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm. The show features nine dealers, stamps, covers, picture postcards, collections, door prizes and supplies. There will be a youth area and free stamps for the kids. Browsers and beginners are welcome. The Clarion Hotel and Conference Center is located at 101 Fantasy Harbour Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, SC (off Hwy 501 at the Intracoastal Waterway).

Ripley's Family Fun Run is an exciting 1 mile run the entire family can participate in and enjoy together. The Family Fun Run starts at 5:30 pm outside Ripley's Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. Individual finishing times are not recorded, but you can check your time on the clock at the finish line. Ripley's Family Fun Run helps support Horry County Schools. Neon Night 5K - February 14
At 7 pm on Friday, the Neon Night 5K will start on Celebrity Circle outside Ripley's Aquarium. Competitors must complete the 5K Run course in 1 hour or less. Participation in the Neon Night 5K Run is limited to the first 1,500 registrants. More info.

The Valentine Bonfire - February 15
Bring a couple of lawn chairs and that special someone over to La Belle Amie Vineyard for The Valentine Bonfire from noon until 5 pm. Enjoy live music with Laidback Larry from 12:30 pm until 4:30 pm. In addition to great, live music, you can sample the vineyard's wines. Admission is $3 per person or you can bring two canned or dry good items for the area's food banks. Dasani Half Marathon - February 15
At 6:30 am on Saturday, the Dasani Half Marathon starts just north of the intersection of 21st Avenue North and Grissom Parkway. The race will finish in the parking lot at TicketReturn.com Field (home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans). Runners must complete the half marathon course in 4 hours or less. Participation in the Dasani Half Marathon is limited to the first 5,000 registrants. More info.

At 6:30 am on Saturday, the MyrtleBeach.com Marathon also kicks off just north of the intersection of 21st Avenue North and Grissom Parkway. Sandune Archery Club 30-Target3D Tournament - February 15-16
Sandune Archery Club's 30-Target3D Tournament is an exciting competition with three dimensional targets (deer, bear, turkey, etc.). Targets are sectioned off into areas with different point values. Participants are divided up and compete in categories depending on their age and skill level as well as the style of bow and extra equipment variations used. 20th Annual Horry County Museum Quilt Gala - February 21-22
From 10 am until 4 pm on Friday and Saturday, the 20th Annual Horry County Museum Quilt Gala will be held in the Recreation Center at the oceanfront Ocean Lakes Family Campground. The event features hand quilting demonstrations, Horry County Museum Challenge Quilts, lectures, a special exhibit by Fiber Fanatics, a raffle drawing and door prizes. You'll also find quilting notions, fabrics and supplies for sale at the Merchant Marketplace. Anyone may participate in the Horry County Museum Quilt Gala. The event is not judged or juried. 5K for Health Walk at the Boardwalk - February 22
Come join us in the 5K for Health Walk at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. A free event put on by the Myrtle Beach Recreation Division, the 5K for Health Walk begins at 10 am in Plyler Park. Enjoy a walk along the Boardwalk and the beach. Beginning at 9:30 am, there will also be entertainment with music and Zumba on the beach!

Winter Parrot Head Festival - February 22
Grab a lawn chair and a few friends and head over to La Belle Amie Vineyard for a trip to the islands at the Winter Parrot Head Festival. Enjoy live music with The Paul Grimshaw Band and The Stringwood Band, eat some delicious food prepared by Smokin' Pitt BBQ & The Vineyard Grille, sample the vineyard's wines and take a vineyard tour. Admission is just $8 per person. Bring two canned or dry good items for the area's food banks and receive $3 off your admission. Festival club members are admitted for free. 11th Annual Palmetto Regional First Robotics Competition - February 27 thru March 1
The 11th Annual Palmetto Regional First Robotics Competition is an intense 3-day competitive event showcasing robots developed and operated by high school teams from around the country and beyond. Teams put their robots into action during Thursday's practice rounds. Opening ceremonies begin Friday morning at 8:30 am with Qualification Matches taking place from 9 am until noon and from 1 pm until 5:45 pm. Opening ceremonies begin Saturday morning at 8:30 am with Qualification Matches continuing from 9 am until 12:15 pm. The Final Rounds take place Saturday afternoon from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm.
