The Freestyle Music Park or Hard Rock Park located in Myrtle Beach has finally come out of foreclosure, and there is talk to reopen the idle park soon.

FPI US's attorney David Slough announced that at recent foreclosure auction, FPI US secured the amusement park.

There has been no announcement on whether FPI US will sell the park, run it themselves or look for a owner to buy the property.

No word yet on when the park will reopen but some believe that the Freestyle Music Park may reopen as early as spring 2012.

Originally called the Hard Rock Park the Freestyle Music Park amusement park opened in 2008 at a cost of $400 million.

Local residence and business owners in the Myrtle Beach area are happy about the news of the now abandoned Freestyle Music park to reopen. Area businesses look forward to seeing more visitors and consumers to the area.

FPI, the new owners of the park, plan to evaluate the problems with the first two times the Amusement park opened to identify what made the park fail and how to make the Myrtle Beach theme park succeed the third time.

Plans are to reevaluate the price of admission which was believed at the time to be unreasonable. The Freestyle Music Park and Hard Rock Parks original price of admission was $40 for adults and about $30 for children a price that was later lowered in 2009 to under $20.

Residents have spoken out about wanting to see the 50-acre Amusement park reopen and out of foreclosure. The huge drop in tourism in 2008 and 2009 has been blamed for the parks failure while others blame the parks closure on poor planning and a poor theme.

Myrtle Beach Residents agree that reopening the park will help make the Fantasy Harbor area off 501 and the Intracoastal Waterway better for business and better for the look of the area.

While the park was in a foreclosed state the park has been maintained and upkeep on the rides have continued. All of Myrtle Beach is eagerly awaiting what happens next to this Amusement Park
