competing in a 72-hole event. Described as "The Mother of All

is conducted numerous golf courses in Myrtle
Beach, with men's and women's flights for all age levels.

Beach Sweep - September 19
Beach Sweep/River Sweep is South Carolina's largest one-day volunteer
cleanup event. The 3rd Saturday in September, from 9 am to noon,
thousands of South Carolinians clear beaches, rivers, lakes, marshes,
and swamps of debris. The Sweep takes place in conjunction with
the International Coastal Cleanup, coordinated by The Ocean Conservancy.

Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival - September 25-27
Atalaya Castle, fills its concrete halls once again for what is
known as one of the top 50 art shows in the country. Originally
the summer home for the prestigious Huntington family, the home
and grounds are now part of Huntington Beach State Park.
Judges select from over a hundred submissions to find the top artisans
in the country to participate.
