Myrtle Beach was recognized as one of America’s Best Beaches for 2006 by the Travel Channel. The area was also named America's Best Thrillseeker Beach for 2006. The Myrtle Beach Pavilion's oceanfront boardwalk was cited as one of the Best American Boardwalks for 2004.
